Hello there my fellow inter-web connoisseurs. I should have plenty of time to post items now, for you see, I am out of work ...Poo. My contract finished up at House of Cool and work is a little sparse at the moment, so I'm just hoping I can get by on my measly EI checks until someones decides they love me enough to pay me. My contract ended just last week, so right now the time off is appreciated, but it won't be long before I run out of things to keep me busy and I start frying my brain with daytime television. Anywho, here's my favorite E cup sized super heroine, Power Girl. This one's for you, andy.
PS. The black and white sketch was my first draft.

Imma big gurl now
Holy guacamole, it's been entirely too long since that last time I've posted something. Funny thing is, I've been making the time to generate artwork, just not the time to post it... Heh. I got my many excuses to validate my absence, as usual, BUT this time I promise you they are legit! For starters, I've moved out. Yes, I no longer survive off the sustenance provided by my parents, nor do I live carelessly in a world where my laundry is done for me. No, my friends, I am an adult now, and you know what? ...Being an adult is alotta feckin' work! Bills to pay, dishes to clean, foods to make; it's just one non-stop trip of shit to do. Nevertheless, I DO love being on my own. Even if it means paying a whooping rent check every month. So, besides all the crazy jazz that comes along with moving out, I've managed to muster up the energy to do up this piece of my favorite BPRD agent waiting for a pickup. There might not always be time to make my lunch in the morning, but there's always time for HellBoy.
Oh, and for those of you who were wondering whether or not my film, "A Romance in Graphite", won anything at the Teletoon Animation Scholarship Awards ....I didn't. But, do not fret! I just feel privilege to have been apart of a contest with so many other amazing artists. Also, my friend's Vlad and James won first and second place, so it's all good :)

Teletoon apparently likes my film ...I hope you do too.
Exciting news folks! My independent student film, "A Romance In Graphite" was selected as one of the finalist films for the Teletoon animation scholarship in the category for most promising student. So, now, I can finally show the world the two minutes of film that took me an entire school year to create... Yaaaays! The film is an integration of 2-D traditional animation with stop-motion animation and is about a pencil who falls in love with its drawing. You can watch my wee little film on the Teletoon website found here under the Finalists tab and in the Most Promising Student category. The website can be mighty slow, so I added a copy of my film right here for you fluid viewing pleasure! Some other great friends of mine from Sheridan have also gotten their films accepted ("Fresh Eggs", "Taste of Glory", "C Block", "Parental Guidance" and "Two by Two") so be sure to check those out as well and vote for your favorite (or vote for mine, whatever makes you happy ;D). Anyways folks, I sure hope you like my attempt at film making and best of luck to all the finalists! WHOO!

Firestarter
For those of you who don't know me personally, I am very fond of a lovely little comic called HellBoy. So, of course, my love for the character compelled me to watch the HellBoy 2 movie... And, to put it lightly, I didn't think it did the comic a lick a justice. BUT, having said that, it did rekindle my love for the BPRD and its big red ape. I did this little piece of Miss Liz Sherman on my breaks at work.

Back from the dead
Holy crap in a hat, it has been way too long since my last post and I apologize. School was just way to crazy for my liking, BUT I managed to finish my senior project film, 'A Romance In Graphite', and once I get it on the film fest scene, I will make it available for some web viewing goodness. Although the insanity of school was difficult to bare, it was all worth it in the end because it landed me a super wicked job at House of Cool in Toronto. It is totally awesome there and the people I get to work with are overwhelmingly talented. And now I can put their link on my blog without looking like a totally obsessive fan girl.
Because I started work so shortly after school ended, I haven't had much Mel time, so I haven't managed to generate much original work, but here's a little something I did after I completed my film and before school ended. As you may have guessed by now, I heart dogs.

Mall Rat
Hello my fellow internet participants. I'm not sure if you've notice my absence lately, but I've been super busy and stressed out so GET OFF MY BACK! ...Sorry, sorry, I've just been a little on edge lately. Since school has started I've been swamped with film production, event planning and all other sorts of fun things that plague my life right now. Plus, I just saw Cloverfield last night and I still have a little bit of anxiety from it. I think I better have myself some herbal tea and watch The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross. Here's something I whipped up last semester when free time still existed.
